INGREDIENTS:
- Drumsticks - 2/ any vegetable cuttings of your choice
- Bengal gram dal - 100 g
- Small Onion - 10(Chopped)
- Salt - to taste
- Tomatoes - 2 (Mushed)
- Dry red chilli - 2
- garlic cloves - 2
- Curry leaves - few

To Temper:
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Mustard - few
Recipe:
- In a 1 cup of hot water add the tamarind and soak it for 30 mins then nicely filter it.
- Take the dal and boil it . For 1 cup dhal , add 2.5 cups of water , 2 garlic cloves and give 3 whistles
- In a vessel add oil and fry mustard and curry leaves.
- Add the chopped onions and cook until golden brown.
- Then add the chopped tomatoes and sauté well
- Now add 20g Aravai sambar powder and the cut vegetables. Add 1 cup water to cook the vegetables.
- Once vegetables are almost cooked add the tamarind pulp.
- Then add dhal and cook the mixture for another 10 mins
- Turn of the heat. Garnish with chopped coriander. Now Tasty Sambar is ready to serve.
